Spot GPS is the modern day solution to the previous cumbersome and expensive Satellite Phone. Throughout the Joburg2Kili Expedition we’ll be using the SPOT Gen3 which will give us a critical, live-saving line of communication using satellite technology. The Gen3 has a SOS button which will immediately alert the local emergency services to our location at the tap of a button. It also lets us check in and will update the tracking map on this website with our exact location.
